  1. It’ll be finally Bones Tuesday again this week, everybody! We don’t have much longer to say that….waaahhhhhh!!!! I am seriously dreading the void once the show is over. I might just get out the old DVD’s and start back from the Pilot. I am so happy we decided to keep our chatting going because I cannot handle losing my IMDB message board, and Bones, and you guys too! Anyway, post your thoughts here and pop over to the “Bones IMDB Group” facebook page if you want to live chat with the East coast airing!

  2. I liked the episode.

*I was kinda happy to see Brennan snapping at others only because after what Booth got in the last episode it was good to see others being treated in a not so good way.

*Like the call back to Booth’s back problems

*Like seeing Booth and Brennan having fun undercover. The whole episode could have just been that and I would have enjoy it.

    *Great seeing Gordon Gordon back.

Did anyone else wonder why the writers made it seem like Brennan and Booth were still not in a good place with each other? Yet during the episode there is no hint that Booth and Brennan are still in a bad place. The only thing the episode showed was that Brennan was snapping at others and hyper worrying about those around her dying any moment now. I really really hate the way the writers promote episodes they suck at it, Hart did a better job without hyping up things just for the sake up it.

I know there was more I wanted to say about the episode but can’t think of it right now.

  3. Watching it now

Where the heck are Booth & Brennan the first half hour?

    No scenes

And Booth has a bad back, for no reason just to write him off screen .

    And enough of Aubrey already….

  4. OMG.

Why would Booth go on a demolition derby with a bad back….does he even have a bad back now? It never gets mentioned again. Did David have a bad back and they had to write it in but when he did the Derby scenes he was OK?

I can’t figure it out. But it is such a random plot. And it went nowhere but DB had fewer scenes the first half of the ep….

  5. -I hate when Brennan snaps at people. I’d blame it on the Max thing, but she’s done it before that unfortunately
-Why would Brennan force Angela to touch evidence….she’s not a trained scientist
-I like the callbacks to Booth’s back and the bobble head
-I wish Booth got to spend some serious screen time with GGW, not the goofy stuff with him wheeling a cart around
    -Fuentes considers Cam “family”??
-“Brennan the bummer” ruins lunch with complaining
-Just have Angela run a tree simulation to find the apprentice
-Oh wait…she is! Lol nailed it!!
-“My wife and I have a few questions” Yay 🙂
-I knew it was the bank girl. Gosh why can’t these be more interesting??
-Hmmm…I wonder what they will do to resolve the Gormogon stuff? Why didn’t the team try all this before now?
-As always the promos leave me with questions! And also sadness since we are so close to the end!!

    • Upon reflection, this episode had such potential. I liked the appearance of GGW in regards to the Apprentice stuff, its a nice tie in to the past…but basically no interaction with B&B. They had lunch but GGW didn’t ask how B&B were doing with Max’s death or how married life was treating them….nothing. Just “go to the derby”. In that sense, it was a waste of GGW. At least the guy got to hang with Hodgins.

I would’ve loved a heart-to-heart convo with at least Booth and GGW if not Brennan included in that. Booth/GGW had a special bond and had very meaningful conversations and that was just missing last night. In fact, they actually wrote Booth as annoyed with GGW’s presence, even though he was specially asked to come back and consult!! Very odd. Why ask a guy to help but kick him out of the office?

  6. For me, Gordon Gordon made the episode. It was wonderful to see him. I’m guessing lack of Booth at the FBI and Brennan in the lab was because of the time involved in filming the demolition derby?
My guess is that Booth’s back and Brennan’s snappiness is each of them dealing with their stressful/grief situation of Max’s death. As Brennan gets better, Booth will get better, at least that is what I surmise.
Hodgins and Gordon Gordon were more interesting than the crime of the week. But seeing Wanda and Buck have a little fun at the derby was nice. They love each other, that was evident.
I’m guessing the promo for eps. 11/12 at the end was another mistake? Maybe because of the one week delay due to congressional address? Next week would have started the last two episodes?
This was a nice episode. I just can’t get over how little JC/MP ‘get’ B&B.

    • This definitely was one of the better episodes of the season. Brennan was snotty to everyone but that is nothing new, and the case wrap up was lame, but that also is nothing new.

I really liked Hodgins getting good screen time and GGW interactions. That was awesome. I was very happy to see GGW again, interacting with the team! I guess I was just shooting for the moon and hoping we’d get a Booth/GGW sit-down where they talked about how it all came true and B&B are married with kids, and thanks GGW for helping get Booth back on track. Maybe GGW even meeting the kids and giving B&B a meaningful glance?? I know, I know, I’m talking crazy. But it would have been really nice to tie in GGW’s former advice to Booth (and Brennan) and seeing everything happen eventually 🙂

  7. Well I agree a GGW/B&B heart felt scene about how far they have come would have been nice, but JC/MP don’t do heart felt. They just do not seem able to write that sort of stuff. Meeting the kids would have been sweet, any acknowledgement of how far B&B have come would have been much appreciated. I just shake my head!! I don’t get it, it’s not that hard.

Ted Peterson tweeted during the episode that DB’s back hurt that week so they wrote it in. They probably didn’t know about the way Brennan used to ‘fix’ Booth’s back! Would have been a cute touch, but they dropped that ball!
I’ve totally given up on these two as show runners of this show. Our hope for the future is that they succeed in their new endeavor and IF Bones ever comes back, they get new show runners. Because these two are duds!

  8. “Our hope for the future is that they succeed in their new endeavor and IF Bones ever comes back, they get new show runners. Because these two are duds!”

The way Peterson talks it sounds like he thinks that if Bones comes back he will be the one running it. That would be a disaster. The only way Bones should return is with Hart in charge.

Basically there are two Bones shows..S1-10 (and yes, I’ll throw S10 in there because even though I didn’t like the gambling arc at least we got to see B&B at home and see their relationship) and then S11-S12, which bear no resemblance to “old” Bones.

I agree that these guys are complete duds. It pointless and a little sad when people tweet at them because they just don’t seem to even get why fans are upset. I should say “some” fans are upset, because of course there were the usual group who said this was The.Best.Episode.Ever…lol.

  9. I wish I could just focus on Gordon Gordon but I can’t. I keep on thinking why does he have all those scenes with Hodgins? Where is Booth? Why is Aubrey in every other scene? Where are Booth & Brennan scenes, 30 minutes and nothing… They brought Gordon Gordon back for Zack. Zack???? Booth’s friend got brutally murdered and Max died. Why isn’t he giving B&B therapy, let them actually express their feelings together & separately…but what do we get? Brennan is all better hitting a car

I mean I could just tune in for the last 5 mins and that would be the episode for me. 5 mins *sighs*

  10. It really was odd, the lack of B&B and Gordon Gordon with Hodgins. Maybe there is more to it than we think? Maybe DB was out with his back? And perhaps ED has some health issues (she would never talk about) and needed time away? But this isn’t the first episode where I’ve felt things the episodes were light on the B’s.

” because of course there were the usual group who said this was The.Best.Episode.Ever…lol.”
Yes they were live tweeting with MP so they had to tow the line! But I saw a criticism of sorts…some of the bots didn’t like the scene with DB’s wife. LOL

    • Best Ep Ever….omg….are they paid by Fox and the writers, its like they have been brainwashed, LMAO

And now we have next weeks episode were Aubrey is the lead, Booth & Aubrey working together….ummmm … excuse me Peterson, last time I looked Booth & Brennan were the leads who were partners…. Man, I won’t be able to stomach Aubrey as lead, I have a horrible feeling that Booth is getting replaced as Jeffersonian liaison…. That would truly suck …..why aren’t B&B working the last cases together? Great showrunning Peterson *throws tomatoes*

Also? According to our great writers *coughs* Booth’s bad back had no reason, no explanation, just there cause DB had a bad back…..ummmm..OK…guess s few lines explaining it was to much effort for them

  11. “Ted Peterson tweeted during the episode that DB’s back hurt that week so they wrote it in”

Yeah, when Booth was at the chiropractor, so was David hence his absence. David mustn’t of told them why he got a bad back either that’s why Booth had one without any reason *sarcasm* its not like they are writers or anything with their own ideas….lol….It’s a shame DB was off sick because its pretty obvious they rewrote those two Brennan at the FBI scenes cause Booth was suppose to be there, not Aubrey. And B&B were suppose to interrogate the guy from derby… I needed more B&B in this ep, Emily was pretty much absent the first half hour too, a few scenes at beginning that was it….Ugh. I am so tired of seeing Aubrey. SO TIRED. Code for p*issed off. 😉

This is actually a good take & I can see it actually being viable. But considering C Peterson said there was no reason, you are getting a upgrade to writers credit for this ep , contact Fox for royalties 😉

Let me like, fav this into eternity

S1-10 Hart & Stephen the heart of the matter, heart of B&B Bones

S11-12 Peterson & Collier the flatlined of the matter, they killed B&B, left Bones a shell.

  12. S1-10 Hart & Stephen the heart of the matter, heart of B&B Bones

S11-12 Peterson & Collier the flatlined of the matter, they killed B&B, left Bones a shell.”

Yep. Basically. At least we got a solid 9-10 years of a show. That’s more than most shows and fandoms get. I’m trying to look on the bright side during this season…but its hard. I go back and forth from loving Hart for giving us this show, and being mad at Hart for leaving it before it was done. And he’s living a nice life somewhere not worried about it lol

  13. “I go back and forth from loving Hart for giving us this show, and being mad at Hart for leaving it before it was done. And he’s living a nice life somewhere not worried about it lol”

Same. I do get angry when Hart is tweeting all kinds of stuff about other shows while Bones crashes and burns. I cannot believe that he didn’t care enough to finish this show properly. More than likely Bones will be his big legacy, you would think he would want to control how it is remembered.

  14. ” I cannot believe that he didn’t care enough to finish this show properly. More than likely Bones will be his big legacy, you would think he would want to control how it is remembered.”

Well to be fair, we honestly don’t know how things went down with Hart in the end. It was really Fox that was in control I think. Who were they going to let ride out the show? How does Hart get on with the current Fox people….there are all sorts of things we don’t know. He cared enough to provide guidance. I just can’t believe the audacity that the current guys didn’t take it.
In the end, Bones will NOT be remembered for seasons 11/12. I think it will be remembered for it’s much better seasons. How they finally got the couple together and it worked (at least under the original guys). In actuality, it had a better run than most, will they/won’t they shows couples. RealBones basically ended in s10……in my mind. 🙂

Yes, you are right. I’m just irrationally angry (at Hart) because I know he would have given us a wonderful S12. My anger should really be directed toward MP/JC (and it has been) for turning down Hart’s suggestions and giving us their crappy version instead.

“RealBones basically ended in s10……in my mind.”

I totally agree and I love, love, love “RealBones”. What should we call S11-12? “FakeBones”? “LameBones”? Or maybe we just shouldn’t refer to it at all!

  15. Back from vacation and I just watched the episode this evening! My thoughts while I was watching it –

-Brennan sounds so robotic when talking to Hodgins. Bossy too. Her speech pattern has just gotten worse.
-Yay Gordon Gordon. Maybe you can save the day here. LOL, maybe he can fix Brennan’s speech pattern.
-Not a fan of the writers, Hillary Wiseman Graham and Ted Peterson, UGH
-Seeing Gordon Gordon again, makes me wish that Booth would wear that three-piece gray suit again, yummy! 😍
-I think that Booth needs a Thai massage for his back pain!

-Haha Jaden is so cute! Taller than his mom now. He definitely looks like his dad.
    -Jaime is so pretty!
-People who have not watched Bones from the beginning don’t know what they’re talking about with Gormogon.
-OMG an unexpected I love you
-I am loving that Brennan is so concerned about Booth’s back. Reminds me of Blizzard episode.
-Booth looks hot in that white T-shirt and black leather jacket.
-What do you know! Brennan is wearing short sleeves and showing her arms. Maybe Gordon Gordon is helping!

Of course no kiss though at all between B&B.
This episode was pretty good. I just wish that Gordon Gordon could stay for the rest of the episodes! I was hoping that B&B would have a heart to heart talk with him.

    – Wow the previews look like something happens at Cams wedding. I like that Brennan told Booth “where you go I go” 😘
